LG iPECS - IP connection

These instructions help you configure your LG iPECS phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Support files

Ensure the following support files exist in the /config/ folder of the TIM Plus application:

Configure the SMDR output

You may need to purchase a license to enable SMDR on this PBX. Please speak to your system maintainer if you are unsure.

The SMDR output in LG iPECS is disabled by default. To enable the output, you need to amend the following settings in the programming sections below:

SMDR Attributes (PGM 177)

Here is an example of a populated SMDR Attributes screen:

Printer Port Selection (PGM 175)

In the Printer Port Selection (PGM 175) window, set Info/On-line SMDR to COM1/COM2 to send call logging data by serial port.

ISDN Attributes (PGM 200)

To enable CLI information in the call records produced by your LG iPECS, you need to set the CLI Print To Serial to ON, as shown below:

Configure TIM Plus

If your LG iPECS has been configured to send its call logging data via TCP/IP, follow the steps below to configure TIM Plus:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. If you don't have a site set up, press Add and select PBX from the drop-down menu. In the dialogue window, name your site and then select Add.
  3. Locate the site object you want to configure in the Directory, click on it and select Properties. lg ipecs
  4. In the Site Properties window, select LG iPECS from the PBX model drop-down list.
  5. In the Connection method field, select Actively connect to PBX from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Host field, enter the IP address of your LG iPECS.
  7. In the Port field, enter 23.
  8. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
  9. In the Connection script field, select Generic Simple from the drop-down list.
  10. Click on the Options tab and tick the Keep a local backup of any data tickbox, as shown below TIM Plus PBX backup options
  11. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
