Mitel Mi-Voice MX-ONE - Serial connection

These instructions help you configure your Mitel MiVoice MX-ONE phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Support files​

Ensure the following support files exist in the /config/ folder of the TIM Plus application:

Configure the SMDR output​

You may need to purchase a license to enable SMDR on this PBX. Please speak to your system maintainer if you are unsure.

The Aastra MX-ONE supports multiple SMDR output formats. TIM Plus requires the SMDR format to be set to either BC8,BC10 or BC13. For more information on how to configure the data output, please contact your system maintainer.

Installing NetPBX​

The Aastra MX-ONE phone system sends SMDR information via a serial connection. To collect the data from the serial port and send it to TIM Plus you first need to install the NetPBX software. For setup instructions, click on the link below:

Configure TIM Plus​

Follow the steps below to configure TIM Plus to connect to your Mitel MX-ONE - BC13:

Once NetPBX is configured and collecting data, log in to TIM Plus and perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. If you don't have a site set up, press Add and select PBX from the drop-down menu. In the dialogue window, name your site and then select Add.
  3. Locate the site object you want to configure in the Directory, click on it and select Properties. MX one
  4. In the Site Properties window, select Aastra MX-ONE BC10 from the PBX model drop-down list.
  5. In the Connection method field, select No connection required from the drop-down list.
  6. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
